Split Core Transformers (x/1A, x/5A)
This type of current transformer with standard secondary rated current of 5A resp. 1A is suitable to measure broad range of AC loads op to 1kA. Its biggest advantage is a simple and standard installation procedure. Thanks to the split-core construction of our transformers it is possible even without disconnection of the measured load. Split-core CTs can be simply opened and clamped around the wire/line even in systems under operation (with precaution). This CT is supported by our instruments SML 33, SML 133, SMM and SMN 33, SMV and SMVQ, SMP and SMPQ and by all our NOVAR power factor controllers.
